Areef holds a National Diploma from the Institute of Hotel Catering and Institution Operations, along with graduation from the prestigious Cornell School of Hotel Administration's General Manager Program. Reshma holds a dual degree in Bachelor of Arts in International Hospitality and Tourism Management from Queen Margaret University (QMU), which enriches her understanding of the industry's intricacies.

By leveraging her technical knowledge and extensive experience, Reshma assumes a leadership role in driving HR departmental processes at Kagi Maldives. She adeptly manages a spectrum of HR policies and procedures while actively fostering engagement among Kagi team members. Nasheed, hailing from the vibrant locale of Addu City Hithadhoo, joins our management team at Kagi Maldives as the Executive Housekeeper in July 2023, driven by a profound passion for hospitality. He embarked on his journey in the industry with a Diploma in Hospitality Management from Maldives National University in 2016.

Throughout his illustrious career, Nasheed has contributed his expertise to various CCR properties in the Maldives.

With nearly 23 years of diverse experience in the hospitality industry, Nasheed brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. He embodies a philosophy of knowledge-sharing, aligning passion with purpose, and consistently inspiring greatness among his team. Lammath joined the Kagi team as Assistant Reservations Manager in 2022. Prior to joining Kagi, she spent 9+ years at Universal Enterprises. Her career began as a Reservations Agent and worked her way up to becoming a Reservation Supervisor in February 2018. With over a decade of experience in the tourism industry, she is a noteworthy leader in her workplace. Known best among her colleagues as a self-motivated and detail-oriented leader, who brings a positive energy to the workplace.

With over 20 years of international hospitality experience, Juliane is a proud and dedicated member of the Kagi Maldives team. Her career across renowned luxury resorts and hotels has taken her through some of the most inspiring destinations in the Maldives, Bhutan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Recognized throughout her journey for her commitment to excellence, proactive approach, and strong leadership, she consistently motivates and mentors diverse teams to surpass guest expectations. A hands-on, passionate, and inspirational leader, she believes that genuine service, teamwork, and meticulous attention to detail form the foundation of an exceptional guest experience.

Sushil is a globe trotter with 14 years of experience in hotel and resort engineering. He has done his bachelors from University of Rajasthan in Electrical Engineering. Prior to joining Kagi team, He has worked in Tanzania, Kenya, Nigeria, Cook Islands and New Zealand with luxury business hotels and ultra luxury leisure resorts.

Ahmed Areef joined the Kagi team as Assistant Purchasing Manager in 2022, bringing with him approximately 8 years of extensive experience in the industry. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated his expertise in various roles within the procurement field, having served in several renowned 5-star, 4-star, and ultra-luxury resorts. Ahmed embarked on his professional journey in 2011 and has since meticulously progressed through different positions, steadily advancing his skills and expertise in the field. Raised in Lh.Kurendhoo, his background roots him deeply within the Maldivian culture and landscape.

Sanjaya Sidath Kumarathunga serves as the Financial Controller at Kagi Maldives, bringing over 14 years of comprehensive experience in financial leadership and operational management. He has a proven track record of steering financial strategy, optimizing fiscal processes, and delivering insightful financial reporting. His expertise spans across key areas such as financial planning and analysis, budgeting, cash flow management, and regulatory compliance. Sanjaya has held senior roles, including Assistant Financial Controller at Jawakara Islands Maldives and Innahura Maldives Resort, where he successfully led finance teams, strengthened internal controls, and enhanced financial operations. A graduate with a B.Sc. in Business Administration, he combines strategic vision with operational excellence to drive sustainable financial performance for the organization.

Recognized for his calm and compassionate leadership style, Simad excels at cultivating team environments built on trust, respect, and collaboration. His ability to inspire teams through empathy and clarity aligns seamlessly with Kagi’s values and its dedication to heartfelt, authentic service.

Beyond the workplace, Simad finds balance through reading and swimming, activities that nurture both focus and creativity. Ahmed began his career with Crown & Champa Resorts in 2009 at Vilamendhoo Island Resort & Spa during its re-opening phase, later joining Kagi Maldives Resort & Spa in 2020 for its pre-opening. Over the years, he has built a strong foundation in hospitality technology, consistently showcasing his expertise and dedication across various IT roles.

Now serving as the ICT Manager, Ahmed oversees the resort’s technology operations, ensuring that all systems run efficiently, securely, and in alignment with CCR’s high standards. His focus remains on delivering reliable IT services, supporting operational excellence, and driving technology improvements that enhance both guest experience and team productivity.

Ahmed holds a Higher Diploma from Cyryx College, Maldives, along with multiple professional certifications in the ICT field. His commitment to continuous learning and innovation positions him as a key contributor to the resort’s ongoing success.

Dr. Hassan Shafi is the Resident Doctor at Kagi Maldives, bringing over a decade of experience in clinical operations, patient care, and emergency management. With a diverse background in general medicine and wellness, Dr. Shafi is adept at managing the health and well-being of both resort guests and staff. His expertise includes handling medical emergencies, conducting routine health checks, and implementing preventive care measures. He played a pivotal role in managing COVID-19 protocols at previous resorts. Dr. Shafi’s commitment to high-quality care ensures a safe and healthy environment at Kagi Maldives Resort and Spa.
