Jorg Weytjens
General Manager
Jorg has over 15 year’s experiences managing hotels and resorts in various locations. Prior to moving to the Indian Ocean region, he managed a portfolio of ultra-luxury residences in the French Alps. He moved to Sri Lanka in 2017 to set-up an intimate Boutique Hotel in the Knuckles Mountain Range. From there he transferred to Bhutan to manage the opening of a Luxury Wellness Resort. Jorg has a keen interest in wellness and enjoys exploring different new wellness activities that can be offered to guests. A native from Belgium he speaks fluent French, Dutch and English. Jorg used the time during the Covid-19 pandemic to complete a Master Degree in Business and Tourism from the University of Cumbria from which he will graduate at the start of 2022.
Mohamed Nazeer
Director Of Operations
Nazeer holds Bachelor’s Degree in International Hospitality & Tourism from Taylor’s University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Over his professional career, Nazeer has worked for several CCR properties in the Maldives until he decided to move from CCR in 2017. During the time outside CCR he worked in Constance Halaveli and LUX* South Ari Atoll.
On October 1st 2019, Nazeer rejoined CCR, as Director of Operation at Kagi Maldives. Nazeer oversees all aspects of the operational departments in Kagi Maldives Spa Island. His work ethics and ambition represent a significant contribution to day-to-day operations of Kagi Maldives Spa Island.
Nazeer brings a varied background of nearly 23 years of experiences in Hospitality industry. He also possess international working experiences including Malaysia and Seychelles.
Nazeer makes his home in Addu City, Republic of Maldives and he speaks basic French and Italian.
Kairudeen Faizal Mohamed
Financial Controller
Faizal joined Kagi Team in 2023, and brought with him more than 16 years of experience in the travel and tourism sector. This is his second time to Maldives after 7 years prior experience. He worked in Sri Lanka, the Seychelles, and Mozambique before joining Kagi Team. He is in charge of handling the purchases and accounts.
Mohamed Samin
Human Resources Manager
Samin Joined Kagi this year and brought his over 7 years of experience in Hospitality Industry. Samin has worked in well known hotel brands in Maldives like Anantara, Marriott, Centara and Constance etc. He has Finance back ground before move to HR. For Samin, its very important to have a healthy and balanced work environment. Focusing on team members mental well being and development.
Aishath Shaniya
Front of House Manager
Shaniya brings with her over 9 years of experience in the tourism industry, having worked with local and international five start Resorts in the Maldives. She holds a Bachelors Honors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Bedfordshire. Shaniya takes care of the Front of House operations by ensuring that our guests experience a relaxing and memorable holiday.
Denis Placereani
Executive Chef
Denis has joined Kagi as Executive Chef and he is responsible for the food served to our guests and team members. He had worked in Indonesia, China, Caribbean, Thailand, Montenegro and UK. Mr. Denis completed his technical studies from M.Buonarroti, Italy.
He started his career in 2005 in Italy and developed himself by proving his skills in different five-star hotels in Europe.
Sushil Sahu
Chief Engineer
Sushil is a globe trotter with 14 years of experience in hotel and resort engineering. He has done his bachelors from University of Rajasthan in Electrical Engineering. Prior to joining Kagi team, He has worked in Tanzania, Kenya, Nigeria, Cook Islands and New Zealand with luxury business hotels and ultra luxury leisure resorts.
Rasu Murugaiyan
Executive Housekeeper
Rasu has joined CCR in 2010, he is currently responsible for the Housekeeping Department at Kagi Maldives Spa Island. Rasu's work experience extents across several 4 star and 5 star resorts. Rasu graduated with B.Sc., in Hotel Management, awarded by Bharath College of Science and Management in India.
Ahmed Shareef
IT Manager
Ahmed Joined CCR in 2009, and Kagi Maldives in 2020. Ahmed is an experienced IT Specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the hospitality industry. His Primary roles is making sure that the IT Infrastructure is according the standards of CCR. Ahmed is Graduated with a Higher Diploma in Cyryx College, Maldives.
Fathimath Lammath
Assistant Reservations Manager
Lammath joined the Kagi team as Assistant Reservations Manager in 2022.
Prior to joining Kagi, she spent 9+ years at Universal Enterprises. Her career began as a Reservations Agent and worked her way up to becoming Reservation Supervisor in February 2018.
With over a decade of experience in the tourism industry, she is a noteworthy leader in her workplace. Known best among her colleagues as a self motivated and detail oriented leader, who brings a positive energy to the workplace.
Ahmed Areef
Asistant Purchasing Manager
Ahmed Areef Joined the Kagi team as Assistant Purchasing Manager in 2022. He is an experienced individual in this field with around 8 years of experience in the industry. He has worked with several 5star, 4 star and ultra-luxury resorts. Starting his career in 2011, he has worked in different positions and climbed his way up, building his skills and knowledge in the field. He was born &. Raised in Lh.Kurendhoo.
